Thinking of moving to Nuremberg?
That is a great decision! We at Transporo are glad to be at your side and make your move as smooth as possible. Let’s take a look together at Nuremberg’s three most popular districts and the challenges a move there can bring.
1. Nuremberg-Mitte
Nuremberg-Mitte is the vibrant core of the city and draws plenty of people. Here you will find shops, restaurants, bars and historic landmarks such as the Imperial Castle. The challenge when moving to Nuremberg-Mitte lies above all in the traffic. The streets can be narrow and parking is often scarce. As a removal company, however, we have experience dealing with conditions like these and will find the best solutions for a smooth move.
2. Nuremberg-Gostenhof
Gostenhof is a popular district with young people and creatives. Here you will find alternative cafés, art galleries and small shops. The challenge when moving to Gostenhof is often that the flats and houses along the narrow streets sit closer together. That means we may need to take special measures to get your furniture and belongings safely into your new home. But don’t worry – we are well prepared for that.
3. Nuremberg-Erlenstegen
Erlenstegen is a lovely district in the north of Nuremberg and is especially popular with families. There are plenty of green spaces, playgrounds and quiet residential streets. The challenge when moving to Erlenstegen is often that some of the buildings are older and may have narrow stairwells. But that is no problem for an experienced removal company like us. We have the know-how and the equipment to handle even difficult moves successfully.
Whichever district you choose, Transporo is at your side. We offer not only professional removal services but also personal advice tailored to your individual needs. With our experienced team we make sure your move to Nuremberg is stress-free and pleasant. So let’s plan and carry out your move to Nuremberg together. We look forward to welcoming you to this wonderful city!
Nuremberg, a lively city with over half a million inhabitants, is an attractive place to live and work. Every year there are numerous moves here, both within the city limits and to and from Nuremberg.
Demand for professional removal services is correspondingly high.
Compared with other German cities, Nuremberg is an up-and-coming destination. Although cities such as Berlin, Hamburg and Munich often take the spotlight, Nuremberg has a great deal to offer as an economic and cultural centre. The city sees a steady influx of people looking for new job opportunities or simply valuing the high quality of life in the region.
The distribution of moves within Nuremberg is interesting too. Different districts have their own appeal and attract people moving. Areas such as the Altstadt, Gostenhof and the Südstadt are particularly popular. Here you will find not only historic buildings and charming streets but also a varied cultural scene.
Whether you are moving to or from Nuremberg, within the city or to another city in Germany – you are in good hands with Transporo. We have extensive experience carrying out moves throughout Germany and place great value on reliability, care and customer satisfaction.

One of the most common questions is surely: “How much does a move in Nuremberg cost?”
On average you can expect certain cost factors that apply to most moves in Nuremberg.
Removal van: Hiring a van for a day can cost between €80 and €200, depending on size and hire period. For larger moves you may want to consider a lorry. Fuel comes on top of that.
Removal helpers: The number of helpers you need affects the cost. Per helper you can expect an average hourly rate of €25 to €45. This can vary depending on the size and timeframe of your move.
Packing materials: Moving boxes, packing materials and tape come to roughly €100 to €200 on average. Naturally this also depends on the amount and size of what you need to pack. Allow roughly one box per square metre.
Furniture assembly and dismantling: If you need help assembling and dismantling your furniture, additional costs apply. The exact price depends on the number of items and the time involved. Per fitter you can expect €25 to €50 per hour.
Insurance: It is advisable to take out moving insurance to protect your property during transport. Costs vary depending on the scope of the policy.
At Transporo we understand that every move is unique, which is why we offer tailored solutions to meet your specific requirements.
What does a removal company within Nuremberg cost?

Below we have set out the most important FAQs for you, so that no questions are left unanswered and you can sit back and relax on moving day.
The number of moving boxes you need varies and depends on your possessions. A rough rule of thumb is one moving box per square metre. Minimalists will probably need somewhat fewer, and collectors considerably more.
If you ask us to when booking your move, we can pack and unpack the moving boxes for you. Please contact us at least 14 days before the moving date so we can prepare a suitable quote. Details of the services can be found in your order confirmation. Transporo is happy to take this on for you!
The number of removal helpers you need depends on various factors, such as the volume of the move, the distance between your old and new home and any additional services booked.
The duration of the move depends on many aspects, such as the quantity of goods to be transported, the distance between the departure and destination addresses, whether additional services were booked, and traffic levels.
If you are unsure whether a piece of furniture is too large, too heavy or too bulky to transport in one piece, ask yourself a few questions. Does it fit through all doors, hallways and corridors? Are there tight corners and stairwells to negotiate? Is the item heavier than 80 kg? Is it very tall or very wide? If you answered “yes” to any of these, the piece will probably have to be dismantled. If you are unsure, please contact our customer service. We are happy to help.
If you would like us to dismantle and reassemble your furniture, this is available for an additional charge. Please note that we only assemble furniture that we dismantled beforehand. If you handle the dismantling and assembly yourself, please make sure all furniture is already taken apart when our partner arrives.
To give you a stress-free and cost-effective move, we plan our capacity so that you get the best possible price. If you want to transport more than ordered on moving day, that can sometimes be possible. However, additional costs will apply, which may be higher than changing the order in advance. We therefore ask you to check your order after booking and to let us know of any changes in good time.
Please fill in the service report together with our partner on moving day and sign it. The service report documents the services provided by our partner and records any pre-existing damage and any new damage. It is an important document, as it serves as evidence and ensures your protection.
On the day of your move, our customer service team is available for you at 040 / 334 692 16.
No-parking zones help ensure your move runs comfortably and smoothly. In some places parking is not possible at all without one. Please check the local conditions at both the departure and destination addresses. If no zone has been applied for, you must provide a parking space for our partner during the move.
The no-parking signs are usually put up about two days before your move
If you want to add a no-parking zone, we need at least 14 days’ notice. Please let us know in good time before the move if you would like one. Once booked, no-parking zones unfortunately cannot be cancelled.
Yes, the moving date can be changed after the contract is concluded, provided the new date is at least 14 days after the date of the change. If the moving day is less than 14 days away, it can unfortunately no longer be changed.
A cancellation fee of 20% of the agreed fee applies if you cancel at least 14 days before the agreed moving date. If you cancel later than 14 days but at least 8 days before the agreed date, a cancellation fee of 50% applies. If you cancel later than 8 days before the agreed date, a cancellation fee of 100% applies.
